Brookfield Renewable Donates $10,000 To Lead-Free MV
- Brookfield Renewable and The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties have recently partnered to make an impact in the community that will help to prevent and address lead poisoning in Herkimer and Oneida counties.
- The $10,000 investment from Brookfield Renewable to The Community Foundation supports the Lead-Free MV initiative aimed at addressing childhood lead poisoning on a local level. Oneida County has consistently had one of the highest rates of children with elevated blood lead levels in the state, with rates nearly six times the New York State average. In neighboring Herkimer County, rates also are problematic, with numbers approximately double the state average.
