FERC License: The West Canada Creek Project (FERC No. 2701)
Welcome to Brookfield Renewable’s Public Relicensing Website for the West Canada Creek Project. The West Canada Creek Project (FERC No. 2701) is located in central New York in Oneida and Herkimer counties and includes both the Prospect and Trenton Developments. The West Canada Creek is a sub-basin to the Mohawk River basin. Originating in the Adirondack Mountains in Hamilton County, the West Canada Creek has a drainage basin of 561 square miles and extends approximately 76 miles to its confluence with the Mohawk River.
Erie Boulevard Hydropower, L.P., a Brookfield Renewable company, is relicensing the West Canada Creek Hydroelectric Project. The Project has two developments, Prospect and Trenton.
